The Mekong is truly one of the great rivers of the world, stretching 4,352 kilometers (2,703 miles) from Tibet to the South China Sea. The meandering Mekong links Indochina’s rich cultures as it flows through six nations China; Myanmar (Burma); Laos; Thailand; Cambodia and Vietnam.

One of the highlights of the trip was a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage site, the Wat Phou temple at Champasak.
